Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Home Health Aide, you will provide personal care and companionship to the patients in their homes, including but not limited to:

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, toileting and grooming.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, such as laundry and grocery shopping.
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks and drinks.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes to a caregiver or medical staff.
  • Accompany patients to medical appointments or social outings.
  • Observe and monitor changes in health conditions and report to caregiving staff.

Work Hours and Benefits:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass background check, including a drug screen.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience providing in-home and/or personal care is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to independently travel to client’s homes.

Training and Education:

The Home Health Aide must successfully complete home health aide training, and the State competency exam.
