Job Description

Working as a Surgical Technologist in Georgetown, SC

There are 2 Surgical Technologist opportunities available in Georgetown, SC all with unique requirements.

The Surgical Technologist performs clinical and technical duties in the operating room environment under the supervision of a licensed surgeon, registered nurse, certified surgical technologist, and/or operating room manager. In general, this position must be able to make independent decisions based on assessing the situation. Duties may include the preparation and recovery of surgical instruments and equipment needed for the surgery. Other tasks include the setup of supplies that might be needed during the surgery, such as oxygen tanks and monitors. Surgical technologists are also responsible for administering anesthesia to patients before surgery. Other duties may include keeping detailed records of surgeries and patient care treatments and assisting doctors/surgeons as necessary throughout procedures.
