A Senior Web Developer is an experienced web developer who has an in-depth understanding of web design and development standards, best practices, technologies, and procedures. This person is responsible for researching new technologies and other industry advances and finding ways to implement these advances into the company's software products. This position usually acts as an extension of the Executive team, providing creative direction and oversight of development projects, including processing requirements and design, user experience, interface development, testing, and launch. The Senior Web Developer typically works closely with fellow developers to continually improve production processes across all platforms. This person can translate product requirements from design mock-ups into high-quality code, scale existing platforms and build new ones from the ground up.
