They operate the machinery to lift, move and drop objects using forks or clamps to stack material on pallets or in designated storage areas; works with supervisor to monitor safety rules, company policies and procedure; inspect mechanical condition of the forklift to ensure safe operation; communicates hazard; takes immediate steps to correct hazards; checks warehouse documentation to ensure proper identity of incoming materials or freight while operating a forklift.
